Yogurt Bar Bridal Shower (2024)

Quickly create an easy Bridal Shower Brunch Yogurt Bar. It’s all about mixing fresh fruit, fun and flavor for a memorable occasion!

We were honored to host our niece’s bridal shower. She requested a bridal shower brunch yogurt parfait bar considering the timeframe determined was 10am-12pm. A was a casual but classy brunch menu.

It was a hit with the attendees. We’ve answered all the problems and questions we had beforehand to help you have a successful shower yourself.

We originally planned a modern boho theme planned for the bride in her parents field. We were rained out last minute, creating a venue switch. The new venue kindly requested not to move existing Valentine’s Day decor as they were using it for multiple Galentines parties over the course of a week. We embraced the theme of a Valentine’s Day bridal shower and leaned into it!

You just need the basics to build a successful yogurt bar. Yogurt, fruit, toppings, honey and a side of yummy carbs and you’re all set! Let’s dig in!

What do you serve on a yogurt bar?

We served 2 kinds of yogurt: sweetened vanilla yogurt and sweetened strawberry yogurt. We just used the Walmart brand and it was yummy!

Using all white cutlery and dish ware, we were able to keep with both themes to create a cohesive look. White dishes for the yogurt, white dishes for the toppings, white serve ware for the muffins and even a white bucket for the drinks.

A large rattan tray is perfect for serving multiple fruits for a yogurt bar. We lined the tray with unbleached parchment paper, arranged the fruit side by side, separating them by color to add interest. So easy and cute!

We used matching black tongs for the fruit and to snag muffins and donuts, as well. We used the same set of black spoons to scoop the yogurt. Dressier option: gold tongs.

For the fruit toppings, we used raspberries, blueberries, blackberries and strawberries. We considered pineapple and kiwi for color yet seeing how one of our in-laws is allergic to kiwi, we only used berries.

How to Make a Yogurt Bar for a Party

We set our yogurt bar up buffet style. Start with cutlery, 2 bowls of yogurt per flavor, fruit, toppings, muffins, donuts, drinks.

We had a cute honey jar, forgot the honey unfortunately, we didn’t get to use it. We loved these paper cups, they were super sturdy, affordable and was an easy to match any decor. An additional style choice is the brown craft paper color. We would have used if we stayed with the boho theme.

What foods to serve at bridal shower?

We served yogurt, fresh fruit, toppings, mini muffins and mini donuts, orange juice, mini water bottles. You can bake your own muffins if you prefer. We personally went the easy route and grabbed a variety from Walmart along with an assortment of pretty, mini donuts which was the perfect treat to accompany yogurt. We have a healthy triple chocolate brownie recipe that would pair well with the yogurt.

How do you keep yogurt cold for a party?

We kept a large cooler under the table for storage for fruit and extra orange juice bottles.

We didn’t bother to keep it cool while it was sitting on the table since we went through it so quickly. As it turned out, we refilled it every 20 minutes or so with our crowd size.

Drinks to serve with a Yogurt Bar

We served orange juice and water for the shower in buckets. We got the cute cups from Dollar Tree (linked similar ones from Amazon).

Another idea would be nice glass containers. Fill them with juice or flavored water in one and water in the other. Simple!

In our experience, we went overboard with the orange juice. We did the math ahead and estimated 75 guests would drink about 1 cup each. That was our mistake, we should have realized most would stick with water and should have planned on about 30 orange juice drinkers. We brought 6 bottles, only one total. We used 3/4 of the 80 pack of mini water bottles from Sam’s Club, that worked out well.

Perhaps the table placement deterred people from drinking more. Because we were squeezing between parties at the venue, we were reminded to keep the drink in place per the reception center’s request.

Easy Bridal Shower Centerpieces

For the centerpieces, we used the reception center’s decor. Turns out, they were hosting several Galentine’s parties back to back, as we mentioned before, we were asked to leave it all in place. We originally were going to use the same wood tables with white runners and pink bud vases filled with fresh flowers. We planned on lining the table with eucalyptus from our tree.

We do love these real tulips from the venue so we topped the table off with fun facts sheets with pictures about the bride and groom in easy-to-remove gold frames to make the tables more personal. Simple and sweet.

Bridal Shower Take Home Gift Ideas

The groom’s mom also brought the cutest take home gifts of cake pops in individual cake pop containers.

Those would have been great on their own. She filled a large white ceramic bowl with a variety of candies to put in mini condiment cups, there was a variety for everyone, including kids. Too cute.

Easy Bridal Shower Game Ideas

Our niece’s future mother in law brought bridal shower games to the shower and we all loved them. She did a great job choosing games that kept guests busy and allowed them to munch and mingle at the same time.

Sometimes it gets awkward to participate in baby showers or bridal showers, doesn’t it? Or it feels forced or you feel trapped if you’re on a time limit. These easy bridal shower games are low maintenance, no pressure and easy to participate in!

How Old Was the Bride Game

This guess how old the bride was game was a fun way to see the bride through the years. We had fun at our table reminiscing about her age/stories of watching her grow up.

Again, we casually worked on it over a 15 minute time limit and the maid of honor announced the ages and the winner got a small prize. It was perfect!
